Sir,
This is my humble request that you give a second thought for amendments to REMAS for the following reasons. As examples :
a)Two deceases/illnesses that take one by surprise is Cancer and Diabetes. After the initial treatment/procedures/surgery the patient is on periodical check ups, involving various tests, scans, consultations etc. and domiciliary treatment.
These expenses are not allowed by REMAS nor by the main IOB HEALTH PLUS schemes. In addition we are 20% co payment, which is huge strain and difficulty considering the expenses incurred already.
b) Pre existing deceases/illness is covered.
Here again if Diabetes is pre existing, unfortunately medical bills for domiciliary treatment is disallowed. Consultations, tests are periodically required which does not require hospitalization. How do we meet these expenses, which other wise is met on hospitalization ?
As a suggestion, at least REMAS could consider genuine domiciliary treatment- consultations.tests, medicines etc. bills for such deceases/illnesses .(Others also).
As Senior Citizens our yearly premium for IOB Health Plus has a considerable increase according to the age.
Regards
G.K.Robson.
