APPEAL TO PRIME MINISTER FOR ENHANCEMENT OF GRATUITY LIMIT TO BANK EMPLOYEES !
Dear Comrades,
As you are aware, the Central Government had accepted the recommendation of Seventh Pay Commission to enhance the ceiling limit of Gratuity payable to Central Govt employees from Rs.10 lacs to Rs.20 lacs with effect from 1st January 2016. The same has to be implemented for other sectors including Bank employees only after passing the relevant bill in the Parliament which normally takes about one to two years and that too with prospective date.
In this regard, CBPRO has requested the Hon’ble Prime Minister, vide their letter dated 27.11.2017, to enhance the gratuity limit to Rs.20 lacs for other sectors too without much delay and also to ensure through an ordinance that the same is paid with effect from 1.1.2016 as applicable to Central Govt. employees.
