New Medical Insurance Scheme – Special Permission for belated submission of claims for 2016-17

Dear Comrades,

You might be aware that the claim for hospitalisation has to be submitted within 30 days from the date of discharge from the Hospital and members would have claimed as such.

However, there may be some members who could not claim the hospitalisation during the last year’s policy period from 1.11.2016 to 31.10.2017, due to some unavoidable circumstances.

In order to help those members who have missed to submit claim documents within the time limit, for the policy period 2016-17 which expired on 31.10.2017, United India Insurance Company has given special permission for all such insured retirees, as a one time opportunity, to submit the claim documents now on or before 25th December 2017.  Such members are required to give the details of the exact reason for the delay caused in this regard, which shall be forwarded to the Nodal Officer of our Bank (Chief Officer, PAD-Welfare Section, Central Office).

The relevant circular No. 7F 89 of 2016-17 is attached herewith for your information and guidance.

We advise such members to utilise this opportunity.
