You might have received by now, details of your policy with policy number and MD id number to your email id given by you while renewing the insurance policy.

We are told by MDINDIA that this number is the same number allotted to you last year. You have to only ensure the domiciliary option given by you is correct or not.  This ID number is allotted for basic policy of Rs.4 lacs and Rs.3 lacs for Officers and award staff respectively.

Separate ID number  recently allotted is for top-up policy only.

That means, one who opted for renewal with top-up will be having two ID numbers, which should be used accordingly. That is, you have to mention basic ID number (old) for claims upto basic policy amount.  More than that, in case you happen to utilise the top-up, you have to submit claim under the top-up ID number.

For those who joined the scheme afresh this year will be issued separate ID number for the basic policy soon.

You are therefore required to keep note of both the ID numbers if you had opted with super top-up.

Top-up policy is already available separately in MDindia website under the same old procedure.

Basic policy id numbers would also be available there, you have to only ensure about your domiciliary option.
