PROTEST DHARNAS & DEMONSTRATIONS BY RETIREES !

MESSAGE FROM PRESIDENT & GENERAL SECRETARY OF ARISE :

Dear Comrades,

AIBPARC and CBPRO chalked out a Series of Dharna by Retirees during this month and the program was a grand success through out the country. In every nook and corner of the country, members assembled in large numbers to focus the attention of the powers that be Bankmen whether in service or retired shall not rest on oars until their issues are resolved. We have shown what we are. Unfortunately neither IBA nor Government are serious about our issues. We are fighting for implementation of Our existing Rights which has not been implemented. IBA oft repeatedly goes on lying that Pension updation cost is Rs.95000 crore whereas on actual working is not even 1/19 of their quotes. They are not coming out with actual working as we have done. What prevents from sharing their figures with UFBU representatives who are espousing our cause. What prevents them from holding direct dialogue with Retirees Organizations.

Medical benefits even after retirement is available to MDs/CEOs and their spouse without any cost but for Retirees from Subordinate staff to General Managers, it is available at an Exhorbitant cost shelling out nearly two to three months pension. It is quite a pity that for a Family pensioner the cost is nearly Rs.40000/ when their pension is hardly Rs.6000/.P.m only. Does not IBA know this Fact.?

Well Comrades Everyone of YOU have exhibited Your steely grit and courage in the war we have started. We shall continue this struggle to logical end. We have to thank each and everyone member Of our organization ARISE for standing with us through out the Country rubbing shoulder to shoulder showing solidarity. A big Thank You and RED Salute to you all !

A massive Dharna was arranged at Jantar Mantar on 21st November 2019 and leaders from various affiliates addressed the gathering and various electronic media took interview with Com.Acharya and Com.SBC Karunakaran, Jaideo Sharma,D.K.Hans and all spoke in tandem about the issues and more than 3000 members participated and the slogans raised in full throated voices in unison was the hall mark of the Dharna.

Followed by the Dharna, AIBPARC Governing Council meeting took place on the next day. Com. K. Anandakumar explained about Insurance scheme and the pit falls in the scheme and in the next year we must proactively involve early with UIIC and thrash out pin priks for a full fledged scheme for a smooth and affordable one for Retirees. Com. SBC Karunakaran explained to the committee about the cost worked out by AIBPARC regarding Pension updation and It is not difficult to achieve and also explained about legal issues involved in various other issues. Com. K.V. Acharya and Com. Suprita Sarkar in their analysing informed that the coming months are very crucial and parleys with UFBU representatives, IBA and Govt officials will be availed and every effort shall be made. They also informed every member of the committee to be in readiness for further agitational if need be. A special mention has to be made for the effective role played by Comrades D.K.Hans, Jaideo Sharma, T.R. Subramanian and members of Delhi State AIBPARC for arranging wonderful arrangements for massive Dharna. Hats off and kudos to each one of them and all members participated. From Arise comrades K.V. Acharya, M.R. Gopinatharao, SBC Karunakaran ,K.S.Rengarajan, P S Bhinder, Jai Deo Sharma, D K Hans, T R Subramaninan, S. This is the time for US to strengthen his Hands and take part in any program chalked out by AIBPARC and CBPRO and On Your Behalf and on Behalf of ARISE, we assure them we shall walk hand in hand and shoulder to shoulder in achieving our Awoved goals. Ultimately victory shall be ours !
