ARISE MEMBERS MEET AT VIJAYAWADA !

Comrades,

ARISE, Vijayawada Region organised Members’ Meet in Maheswari CCE, Governorpet,
Vijayawada on 11.10.2021, Monday at 4.30 PM.
Com. K. Venkateswara Rao, AGS has welcomed the members who have come from Vijayawada
city, Tenali, Eluru & Bhimavaram – Total 36 members
Com. V. Lakshmi Narayana presented the prayer at the commencement of the meeting.
Later, all members observed 2 minutes silence paying profound tributes to the
departed souls of our beloved Retd., IOBIANS from Feb. 2020 till date.
Com. K.V. Rao elaborately explained the claim procedures of ERICSON INS TPA whenever the insured is Hospitalised. He also guided the members about the advantages of paying
premium of IBA’s Group Medical Insurance Scheme for Retirees for the period 01.11.2021 to
31.10.2022 though National Insurance Co. Ltd., increased premium by 40% due to incurred
claim Ratio of 147.21% in 2020-21.
Com. K.B.G. Tilak, Dy.Gen. Secretary of AIBPARC has spoken on the following matters –

1. Our IOB has come out of PCA framework of RBI on 29.09.2021 evening after 6 yrs. He
   congratulated serving Employees and Retirees on this happy occasion.
2. Enhancement of Family Pension to 30% of last drawn Basic pay without any ceiling and
   at par with the Family Pension of Central Govt. & RBI employees w.e.f. 01.04.2021 –
   This achievement is due to persistent follow up by AIBPARC & CBPRO with IBA/GOVT/
   UFBU. All the members have congratulated our Leaders Com. K.V. Acharya ji & Com.
   Suprita Sarkar ji for their untiring efforts. All the members have thanked Sri Rajkiran
   Rai. G., IBA Chairman & Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman, Finance Minister for the sympathetic consideration of our long pending demand.
3. Updation of Pension & 100% D.A. Neutralisation to pre Nov.2002 Retirees. As SubCommittee was formed by IBA under Chairmanship of Sri Ch.S.S. Mallikarjuna Rao, MD
   & CEO of PNB, on 19.07.2021, We are hopeful of favourable recommendations to DFS,
   Ministry of Finance, GOI in the near future.
4. Team ARISE leaders K S R, S B C & A K met our IOB’s MD Shri Sengupta ji on 04.10.2021
   evening and congratulated him as our Bank came out of PCA framework of RBI. Afterwards, they requested him to sanction Subsidy on Ins. Premium & Ins.Premium loan at
   concessional interest rate of 4% or 5% simple. Our MD assured them that he would
   consider favourably at an appropriate time.
5. Our IOB paid stagnation increment Pension Benefit Arrears on 27.09.2021 to Members
   Retired after 01.11.2017 till 30.06.2021 as per 11th BPS dated 11.11.2020 (Monetary
   Benefit from 01.11.2020). Still some members, nearly 800 members are yet to receive
   this benefit.
   Later, Smt. K.L.Vasundhara Devi, Com. B. Maruthi Prasad & Com. P.M. Bharathi Rao
   have spoken. Com. E. Vidyasagar spoke regarding the importance of Saatvic food in keeping up
   good health and distributed a hand out explaining the relevant Slokas in Srimad Bhagavad
   Gita ( 17.8 to 10)
   Finally, 4 members aged 70 years & above viz., Comrades P M Bharathi Rao, Alapati
   Madhusudhana Rao, E. Vidya Sagar & Mandali Venkateswara Rao have been felicitated with
   shawls.
   Com. B.R.K. Murthy proposed Vote of Thanks. He thanked Com. Battula Nagamalleswara
   Rao for providing Class Room and making good arrangements for conducting this meeting
   successfully.
