AIBPARC, DELHI UNIT’S FIRST GENERAL BODY MEETING ON 10.10.2017

AIBPARC DELHI STATE’S FIRST GENERAL BODY MEETING HELD ON 10.10.2017 AT DELHI TAMIL SANGAM HALL R K PURAM.

 

We are pleased to inform that the First General Body Meeting of  AIBPARC DELHI STATE was a grand success. The meeting was attended by over 550 members from all the affiliates of Delhi State AIBPARC not only the attendance was worth appreciating but the dignitaries who adorned the dais. The front row made it a galaxy of stars who added further glitter to this gala show of strength and co- operation in Delhi State AIBPARC.

The presence of Ms Meenakshi Lekhi Hon’ble Member of Parliament from New Delhi and a renowned Advocate of Supreme Court made it a meeting that shall remain engraved in the memory of one and all who participated.

.

Com Harvinder Singh former General Secretary of AIBOC added further charm and grace to the meeting.

Com. K V Acharya  President AIBPARC and Com Suprita Sarkar Acting General Secretary of AIBPARC attended the meeting as representatives of AIBPARC Central Unit.

.

The meeting was further blessed with the presence of Presidents and General Secretaries of affiliates. The presence of Com K D Khera former President AIBOC, Com A N Bannerjee, Com Gopinath Rao, Com Anandakumar, Com J D Sharma, Com N K Pareek, Com Kuppuswamy, Com P K Malhotra, Com Chandrasekharan, Com Sankarnarayana Murthy and Com Rampal and various retired executives from various banks added to the galaxy of participants.

The meeting was nicely compeered by Com R K Sharma from Syndicate Bank.

Com Ashok K Nagar while welcoming the guests requested Ms Meenakshi Lekhi Chief Guest to recommend the issues to the Government of India, Dept of Financial Services for an early resolution. Com Harvinder Singh’s contribution to the officer’s cause as General Secretary of AIBOC was duly acknowledged. Shri  Nagar also highlighted the efforts of the leaders from different Banks towards the formation of AIBPARC and AIBPARC -Delhi State.

Shri.Nagar, described Shri Acharya as a leader who is available 24×7 , totally devoted to the cause of retirees. His untiring efforts shall definitely lead to  resolution of various issues concerning the retirees. His sincere and ceaseless efforts know no bounds; be it administration, IBA, Ministers or legal battle.  He prayed to the Almighty to Bless Sh Acharya with long and healthy life.

Com Suprita Sarkar by his sentilating speech kept  the audience spell bound in the absence of Com S.R.Sen Gupta, General Secretary of AIBPARC. The acting General Secretary Com Suprita Sarkar is doing an excellent job.

 

The leadership of  Shri D K Hans, Secretary Delhi State AIBPARC was lauded by Shri Nagar while acknowledging the  dedicated services for the cause of bank pensioners & retirees. A special mention was made about the successful conduct of both the DHARNAS organised by AIBPARC Delhi State.

 

Com Acharya in his introductory speech highlighted the retirees issues one by one in his own lucid and inimitable style. The way in which he was elaborating the issues made Ms Lekhi to listen to him with rapt attention and she appeared to be pondering over the same. She gathered further information from Com Acharya when he occupied his seat next to the esteemed guest. When she was invited to the dais for inaugurating the General Body Meeting she appreciated the issues of bank retirees while assuring not only to recommend the same to the Govt of India but also act as a lawyer without charging any fees if the need so arose.  The hall echoed with thunderous applause.  She said that further information if any shall be sought from Com Acharya. Her assertions that retirees have found a lawyer who will plead their case were appreciated. The retirees’ hopes have been raised further.

 

Com Harvinder was highly appreciative of the gesture of AIBPARC and Delhi State AIBPARC to welcome and honour him. He thanked one and all for the unstinted support that he got during his tenure which helped him to clinch many unprecedented issues like two Saturdays off.

 

Com Sarkar Acting General Secretary AIBPARC was all  praise for such a glorious and gala General Body Meeting. He said that they are committed to the cause of retirees and requested the members to remain ready for future course of action.  .

 

Com  K V Acharya, President was then invited to inform the latest developments pertaining to the retirees. . Com Acharya said that 100% DA is very close to his heart and he hoped that with excellent presentation of the arguments in Hon’ble Supreme Court, a favourable decision is expected. Com Acharya advised the members to weigh the pros & cons of the Medical Insurance Scheme before even thinking of opting out.

Com  D K Hans, Secretry Delhi State AIBPARC presented his report and financial accounts which were approved with the sound of Pass Pass.

 

Next was the election of the New Team. As only one panel was received the same was declared as Unanimously elected.

The meeting ended  with lunch.
